With a strong entrepreneurial mindset and extensive experience as a property investor and business owner, I bring valuable insights and a unique approach to helping clients achieve their property goals. I also run a successful beauty business in a sought-after area of Sydney, where I’ve honed my skills in operations, customer relations, and business management.
As a property investor, I understand the challenges that come with navigating the property market. My personal experiences—ranging from setbacks in early investments to discovering successful strategies such as property renovations and regional investments—have given me a deep understanding of how to manage risk and maximise returns. I focus on building efficient, streamlined processes to ensure my clients receive the best service and outcomes.
Here’s how I entered the property market and started investing:
My first investment was a learning experience—what seemed like a great deal quickly turned into a costly mistake due to unforeseen issues.
Early Days
“My first-ever investment? Well, let’s just say it was a disaster!
I followed my cousin’s lead and jumped on the off-the-plan apartment trend. A 5% deposit sounded too good to pass up, right? But, as you can imagine, the reality didn’t quite live up to the promise.
Long story short, a cladding issue turned everything upside down. While I made some decent rental income thanks to a shift in the rental market, the high strata fees and special levies were slowly draining me. And, to top it off, the property saw 0% growth.
Over the years, I learned from others’ experiences and explored different strategies—everything from house flipping to buying rundown properties and adding value through renovations, to acquiring decent land and building a granny flat for extra rental income. I also started to focus on older apartments where the structural issues were fewer, but growth was steady.
I became fascinated with finding opportunities in areas poised for development or already in the midst of it. I started looking outside Sydney, at regional areas, and keeping an eye on market shifts, infrastructure development, and the sea-change trend. The property market has evolved in so many ways, and it never ceases to fascinate me!
I also have to admit—I love going to open homes just to check out the floor plans and pick out their flaws!
As a business owner in the service industry, I’ve come to realize that building strong, meaningful relationships is key to success. To me, relationships are the foundation of any good business.
I’m excited to share my passion for property and to continue learning alongside all of you as we navigate this ever-changing market together.”
